Kate Oberreich (Editor/Social Media Coordinator/Rabble-Rouser)

As a mixed media painter, Kate combines painting with drawing, collage and other materials. With a diverse subject matter, her work often reflects personal journeys and experiences. Kate completed her BFA in fine arts with an emphasis in painting in the summer of 2005 at Ball State University (Muncie, IN).

In the fall of 2006, Kate was awarded a year-long residency from the Stutz Artists Association and is currently the Vice-President of the SAA.

Kate is the former Manager of Curatorial Services for Lilly Oncology on Canvas (2004-2010), managing an international art collection touring the U.S. and Puerto Rico.

She exhibits her work regularly in solo and group shows throughout central Indiana.

Carol L. Myers (Contributor/Co-Conspiritor)

Myers has been active at the Indianapolis Art Center as a student and teacher, and as a docent at the Indianapolis Museum of Art. She has shown in many national and regional shows, and has prints in several museum collections. She was awarded an Individual Artist Grant from the Indiana Arts Commission in 2000 and served in the IAC’s grant review panel in 2001. She was the curator for the Stutz Artists Association Partnership with Clarian Hospitals, bringing staff, patients and visitors into closer contact with the arts. In addition to studio work, her mission is to promote the arts as a life-enhancing activity in medical and educational settings by facilitating shows and workshops.

Myers’ work explores the internal landscape of spirit. Her explorations of nature form a personal constellation of image and meaning, and her work becomes richer with time and repetition.

Andy Chen (StutzArtSpace Gallery Director)

Andy Chen is an award winning fine art photographer and gallery director at the StutzArtSpace.

His images explore themes of enchantment within the wildness of the natural world. Andy was born in 1974 in Taiwan and grew up in the Midwestern United States. His exposure to photography began in high school, where he spent countless, clueless hours in the darkroom as part of the yearbook staff. A few years later, he finally figured out that the knobs on the camera had a purpose and quickly found a new passion (for photography, not turning knobs).

Lydia Burris (Blog Contributor)

Lydia Burris is an artist whose work falls within the realm of dark fantasy and experimental. She has shown in several galleries in Indianapolis, and often travels to fantasy and horror conventions around the country to display and vend her work. In 2005, she received her Masters of Fine Art from Norwich, England.

Lydia is a magpie and collects too many things, and she lives with a magician named Dave and 2 hermit crabs named Ronymous and Grünewald.
